Today, my Show Desktop icon in Quick Launch suddenly disappear. It was a tragic things to happen, because show desktop is the most important function for me while using my notebook. Its the only icon that can be found inside my quick launch.
So here is a guide, how if your show desktop icon is missing in quick launch.
1. Click Start, click Run, type notepad, and then click OK. (else just go and open your Notepade).
2. In Notepad, type the following text on individual lines:
[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop
3. On the File menu, click Save As, the file name must be Show Desktop.scf , and save it at -> C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
Now you have your Show Desktop in quick launch again. Its very useful thing to have!
